Optimised Ergonomics

• To improve the operator's user experience and reduce muscle and joint fatigue:

• The handpiece's centre of gravity has been weighted at the bottom of the handpiece;

• External casing designed to suit an average hand size & average grip strength.

• This means that less pressure is placed on the operator's hand and wrist during treatment; allowing for a more comfortable procedure, better muscle and joint loading, reducing the risk of RSI injuries.

Ease of use & Cartridge Attachment

• Wind-in and wind-out needle cartridge, with 2 point-locking. With this simple attachment process, the incidence of incorrect fitting or misfit during attachment, as can occur with alternative devices - causing needle tip to be discarded and therefore wasted consumables, is not possible.

• Easy to use dial for ON - OFF power function

• Protective, non-slip rubber 'grip section' for ideal fingertip connection with handpiece for secure and comfortable hand hold.

• Easy turn dial for adjustment of needle penetration depth between 0 - 2.0mm, marked in 0.2mm increments, but actually continually adjustable depth.

• Easy turn dial for adjustment of speed - 4 settings

• Minimal workspace storage: Compact handpiece holder is provided.

Speed and Efficiency

• Even at the highest speed of 100 insertion movements per second, Raffine safely glides over the skin without dragging, scratching or tearing the skin.

• Speed can be adjusted across 4 levels to suit dermal depth, clinical application and patient tolerance.

• Level 1: 4500 punctures per minute (75 times/sec)

• Level 2: 5000 punctures per minute (83 times/sec)

• Level 3: 5500 punctures per minute (92 times/sec)

• Level 4: 6000 punctures per minute (100 times/sec)

Powerful ‘BLDC’ Motor (Brushless DC Motor)

• Strong operation with BLDC Motor specially designed for Micro-Needling

• Strong motor power is essential for stable skin penetration for Micro-Needling treatment so the microneedles can pierce the skin evenly; and required especially at greater depths to problems such as dragging or grazing.

• Motor has low mechanical vibration, low noise even at high speed

• Having 4x stronger power than regular motors, the device can be used without skin damage even at 2.0mm deep

How Many Skin Penetrations are Completed Per Minute?

• Maximum total punctures per second = 100 x 9 = 900 individual punctures

• Maximum total punctures per minute = 54,000 individual punctures

• What is most important in this assessment is that the motor power matches this speed and puncture rate, as it is this criterion that allows a ‘drag-free’ procedure.

Handpiece Cleaning

• Handpiece is manufactured with 'ABS', exterior material, which is resistant to alcohol, and can be cleaned with alcohol or appropriate disinfectant after use.
